About Dr. Ashley Sikand

Dr. Ashley Sikand, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board certified Otolaryngologist- Head and Neck Surgeon, and is a partner physician at Ear, Nose, and Throat Consultants of Nevada. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada). Dr. Sinkand completed his medical education at the University of Alberta School of Medicine. After his residency at University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Dr. Sikand completed fellowship training at the prestigious California Ear/Sinus Institute.

Dr. Sikand has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Joining Ear, Nose, and Throat Consultants of Nevada in 1996, Dr. Sikand began applying his expertise in microscopic ear surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery and cochlear implant surgery to the practice, and has become well-known in the medical community for his expertise in endoscopic sinus surgery and skull base surgery. Working often with neurosurgical colleagues, he pioneered many surgical procedures in Nevada including techniques for skull base tumor surgery and repair, as well as cochlear implant surgery.

Dr. Sikand conducts research in treatment outcomes for sinus disease in collaboration with prominent centers in other areas of the United States. He has been recognized in consecutive years since 1998 in the Las Vegas edition of “Top Doctors”. Dr. Sikand also founded Nevada Sinus Relief, with the goal of creating a healthcare facility dedicated to diagnosing and treating sinus disorders, including other disorders of the nose. Since then, he has become an expert in the field of sinus and nasal disorders. Dr. Sikand has published research studies over the last 15 years that have positioned Nevada Sinus Relief at the cutting edge of evaluating less invasive office based treatment options.

Dr. Sikand is a member of the American Neurotology Society (ear and skull base surgery), the American Rhinologic Society (nasal and sinus disorders), and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He was also named to the laser surgery committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. In addition, he serves as a consultant to leading medical technology companies in the field including Stryker Instruments (computerized surgical navigation systems), Acclarent (sinus surgery technology), and Zeiss Microscopes.

He also enjoys teaching both colleagues and physicians in training and has previously served faculty positions at the University of Washington, University of Southern California and University of Nevada, Reno. He currently serves as assistant professor at Touro University and the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas.
