About Dr. Danny Goel
Dr. Danny Goel, MD, MBA, is a practicing surgeon and surgical educator. He earned his MD and Masters in Science from the University of Manitoba. He then pursued Orthopedic Surgery training at the University of Calgary, and completed fellowship training in shoulder surgery at the University of Western Ontario and Harvard University alongside an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
Dr. Goel is dual certified by the Royal College and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He currently practices in the Vancouver, B.C. area and also serves on the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Goel is a Clinical Professor within the University of British Columbia’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery with a focus on reconstructive shoulder surgery.
Dr. Goel’s research and clinical interests include surgeon education, performance and skill transfer towards the delivery of safe patient care. He has co-authored more than 30 publications, and is widely sought as a presenter on surgical techniques. Dr. Goel is also the CEO and Founder of PrecisionOS, an immersive medical and surgical education software company.
