About Dr. Jason Cox
Jason Cox, MD, is a prominent fellowship-trained, board-certified radiologist with over a decade of experience in
clinical and teaching radiology, specializing in musculoskeletal imaging and interventions, making him one of a kind.
His expertise in this area is fortified by his fellowship at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute under Julia Crim, MD. As the
Owner and Program Director of AIME - The Institute for Advanced Medical Education, he significantly
contributes to the field through continuing medical education in ultrasound and other imaging modalities, enhancing
both his and his peers'; expertise. Moreover, he is passionate about improving human lives through his work in
the medical field.
Dr. Cox completed undergraduate training at Saint Louis University where he earned his BS in Biology winning the
Department of Biology Award for outstanding undergraduate research. He then attended the University of
Missouri School of Medicine for his MD, he was awarded the Most Outstanding Medical Student in Radiology and
the Donald Silver, MD Award for Excellence in Vascular Surgery. He stayed at the University of Missouri system for
completion of an internship and residency in Diagnostic Radiology where he served as Chief Resident and earned
the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award for advancing radiologic research. Dr. Cox then completed a
fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and interventions under the guidance of renowned musculoskeletal radiologist
and author, Julia Crim, MD, at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute.
Dr. Cox is passionate about advancing the field of ultrasound and educating healthcare professionals on its benefits
and applications. He is an invited speaker, teacher, and ultrasound training specialist having published numerous
courses on ultrasound at www.iame.com, a platform that offers 155+ CME Accredited courses focused on ultrasound
and other modalities, with automatic transmission of completion data to ARDMS and CCI. He has presented in-
person demonstrations at RSNA and trained physicians and sonographers. He is also an attending radiologist at the
University of Missouri Healthcare System, Division of Community Medicine, and his private practice clinic in St. Louis,
MO.
