About
Dr. Marawan El Tayeb received his medical degree from Alexandria University, Egypt in 2005 with honors. He completed his urology residency at Alexandria Main University Hospitals in 2010. He then completed a pediatric urology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in 2013, followed by an endourology fellowship at Methodist Hospital, Indiana University in 2015.
Dr. El Tayeb specializes in the medical and minimally invasive surgical management of kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He was the first in Texas to perform Holmium Laser Enucleations (HOLEP) of the prostate.
Dr. El Tayeb has published more than 48 peer-reviewed articles and four book chapters and presented more than 50 abstracts. He currently serves as chief of the Urology Division, Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, and a clinical associate professor at Baylor College of Medicine; he also serves as the director of international education and research in the department of surgery.
