About Dr. Richard Matulewicz
Dr. Richard Matulewicz is a Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center fellowship-trained urologic oncologist and health services researcher with expertise in the open, robotic, and endoscopic surgical treatment of urologic cancers (testicular, kidney, bladder, and prostate). He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Matulewicz completed his residency at Northwestern followed by two fellowships in New York City. He has a particular interest in improving the way physicians diagnose and treat people with testicular cancer (germ cell tumors). He aims to accomplish this by rigorously studying the impact that various treatment strategies have on health-related quality of life, assessing new ways to integrate novel diagnostics such a micro-RNA into clinical practice, and understanding long-term outcomes of surgical treatments like retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND).
