Dr. Ankur Aggarwal, MD, MS, RPVI is a distinguished vascular surgeon. He received his medical degree at Albany Medical College, followed by a residency in William Beaumont School of Medicine. His post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) has led to numerous publications in vascular medicine. His commitment to patient safety and superior outcomes is underscored by his certification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), demonstrating his proficiency in utilizing ultrasound-guided techniques.
Dr. Aggarwal specializes in endovascular techniques, with a dedicated focus on varicose vein treatment and minimally invasive techniques, such as radiofrequency (RF) vein ablation, non-thermal vein treatments utilizing intravascular medical adhesives, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy. He also provides a critical gap in care with expert second opinions for patients suffering with recurrence of vein disease and the ability to perform venograms and intra-vascular ultrasound (IVUS).
In his free time Dr. Aggarwal enjoys running, soccer, food, travel, and spending time with his family including his wife and children.
