Dr. Ashley Agan is a board-certified otolaryngologist, specializing in ear, nose, and throat disorders. Her academic journey began at the University of Texas in Austin, where she pursued a degree in Biomedical Engineering, distinguishing herself with academic honors. With a passion for science and medical technology and a determination to make a difference, Dr. Agan continued her education at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she earned her medical degree. She was inducted into both the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society, recognizing her outstanding academic achievements and her commitment to compassionate patient care.
After completing her medical degree, Dr. Agan embarked on her otolaryngology residency training at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, renowned as one of the top training programs in the country. Throughout her residency, her dedication to excellence and patient-centered care became evident. Dr. Agan not only demonstrated exceptional surgical skills but also set herself apart with her outstanding teamwork and communication abilities. Her capacity to advocate vigorously for her patients further underscored her commitment to delivering the highest possible standard of care.
In 2020, Dr. Agan furthered her academic pursuits by earning an Executive Master's of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Agan's professional journey includes seven years as a dedicated faculty member at UT Southwestern. During her tenure, she held several leadership roles within the department, including positions as medical director and clerkship director. Her leadership contributions have been instrumental in shaping the future of otolaryngology education and patient care.
Dr. Agan treats a wide range of disorders affecting the ear, nose, and throat, including allergies, infections of the ears, tonsils, and sinuses, as well as nasal obstruction. One of Dr. Agan's unique areas of expertise lies in the treatment of patients with eustachian tube disorders, with a particular focus on patulous eustachian tube. Her innovative approaches and commitment to finding effective solutions have earned her a reputation as a leading specialist in this field.
