About Dr. Jack Jennings

Dr. Jack Jennings, MD, PhD, is a professor of radiology and chief of musculoskeletal radiology for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Known for his innovation in the field of musculoskeletal interventions, Dr. Jennings is the director of musculoskeletal and spine intervention procedures at MIR. He served as the 2022-2023 president of the American Society of Spine Radiology. In 2014, he created a multidisciplinary metastatic spine disease working group that led to published recommendations for the treatment of metastatic spine disease.

An MIR alumnus, Jennings came to the School of Medicine in 2003 as a resident and also completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship before joining the faculty. He received his MD/Ph.D. degrees from the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Jennings’ research interests include musculoskeletal procedures/interventions, vertebral augmentation, bone and soft tissue biopsies, and thermal ablation of benign and malignant tumors. He is affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
