About Dr. Mark Meissner
Dr. Mark H. Meissner, M.D., is a surgeon at the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Clinic at UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado, and is board-certified in Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Meissner’s clinical interests include acute deep venous thrombosis, chronic venous disease and the post thrombotic syndrome, vascular trauma, abdominal aortic aneurysms. His research interests include long-term follow-up of acute deep venous thrombosis and its relationship to chronic venous disease, pharmacologic treatment of venous leg ulcers, coagulation abnormalities in trauma and ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.
